XTRAPLY BIRCH (NATURAL): Composed of 100% Birch wood veneers bonded with exterior phenolic resin glue. Each veneer is carefully selected to ensure few (if any) core voids within the entire panel. The face and back veneers are rated according to the grade criteria noted below. The enhanced structural properties and unique core construction of XtraPly Natural make it ideal for cabinetry, patterns, jigs, and fixtures.

"S" : Virtually defect free. Slight color variation and mineral streaks is permissible, but very limited. Occasional pin knots permissible, but no open splits or plugs allowed. Very suitable for painting, staining or clear coating.

"BB" : Slight color variation and mineral streaks. Knots up to 3/8" diameter, are permissible, but limited in number and normally replaced with plug. Excellent quality surface for painting or for non-transparent overlay.

XTRAPLY BIRCH PSF (Phenolic Surface Film): Composed of 100% Birch wood veneers bonded with exterior phenolic resin adhesive. Each face is overlaid with a dark brown phenolic film to minimize potential of moisture penetration and provide for a smooth uniform surface. This panel is commonly used as a concrete form panel because of its resistance to moisture and alkaline-based chemicals. Its properties make it also suitable for trench shoring, work table surfaces and even certain types of cabinetry. Other color films and non-slip textures for walking surfaces and mezzanines are also available on a special order basis.

XTRAPLY BIRCH (LACQUER): Composed of only high quality Birch wood veneers throughout bonded with exterior resin adhesive. The face veneer is virtually defect free and back veneer may contain an occasional wood plug, replacing any knots. Each panel is treated on both sides with two coats of clear lacquer, giving it a very attractive appearance. Designed for interior use only. The ideal choice for custom cabinetry and fixtures.
