Having been in the scaffold plank business for more than 50 years, McCausey Lumber continues to be very particular about the products it offers and the suppliers it represents. We remain allegiant to mills offering the very best quality and only planks that are genuinely O.S.H.A. recognized.
Dense Industrial 65 solid-sawn scaffold plank has been offered to the contracting trades for many years. This particular grade of lumber (DI-65), as determined by the Southern Pine Inspection Bureau, outlines the quality specifications that a saw mill must observe.
Grading personnel, whom are certified by the American Lumber Standards Committee, visually grade each piece of lumber for various attributes such as slope-of-grain and knot structure. When determined suitable quality for use as a work platform, the certified grader then ink-stamps the board with an official SPIB stamp, clearly identifying it as "DI-65 Scaffold Plank."
